Our Wedding Day

Hi friends, Happy Sunday! I finally sat down to write a recap of our wedding weekend (6 months later) since we are currently in quarantine and I have nothing but time right now. As I sit here and write this, I want to start off by saying that if your wedding plans/festivities have been effected or postponed due to what is going on the world, my heart goes out to you. I’m praying that everyone can still try and see the good through this, and I know we will all get through it together.

Jordan and I became married on September 7, 2019 at a beautiful golf course about 40 minutes from where we live. The venue has a boutique hotel on site that has 20 rooms, which was amazing for our wedding party and family to stay the entire weekend with us there. The guys golfed on Friday before the rehearsal dinner, and everyone stayed until Sunday morning after it was over. I knew I wanted a venue that had everything at one place, and I’m so glad we did that. It’s so easy for guests and the bridal party to be at one place all day.

I love neutrals. I knew I wanted our wedding to reflect that, with a lot of natural greens and whites. I eventually ended up adding in blush and gold tones just because I love the elegance of those colors together.

The weekend turned out to be perfect. The weather was beautiful, the setting, of course the man I was marrying, and everyone that was there celebrating with us. Everything about it was just very special, and that’s how weddings should be. My father-in-law, brother-in-law, and Jordan’s uncles surprised me during the reception by singing “Still of the Night” in a barbershop style harmony. It was easily my favorite part of the night, and you can see it in the video at the end of this post.

I’m sharing the list of vendors that we used below. I encourage anyone in the Pittsburgh area to check out these vendors because they were amazing. They truly added to how incredible and memorable our wedding was.
