My Go-To Beauty Products

I’m talking all things beauty and sharing my favorite beauty products that I used last year, and will continue to use in 2019 because they’re just THAT good. I definitely wouldn’t call myself a beauty professional by any means, I just want to share products with you that have worked for me. The best part: all of these products are under $60! These are products that I use daily, and would recommend to anyone! All opinions on this post are my own. This post is not sponsored.

Skincare: Summer Fridays

I heard about Summer Fridays through one of my favorite bloggers, Marianna Hewitt. She is the founder of Summer Fridays along with her friend/business partner Lauren Gores Ireland. The first product that was released was the Jet Lag mask, which is the one in the blue tube. The orange tube followed shortly after, and that’s the overtime mask. The overtime mask has exfoliation beads for cleansing/dead skin removal, and the Jet Lag mask is for moisturizing and helping your skin to have that dewy glow. The two work awesome alone, or as a pair. I use the over time mask first, then follow up with the hydrating Jet Lag mask. I love these products for all of the seasons, but with the cold, dry air in the winter, they help bring my skin to life again.

I love that Summer Fridays uses clean ingredients, and they don’t test on animals which is always a plus!

Haircare: Gisou

Gisou is another influencer business owned by, Negin Mirsalehi. Negin’s father is a beekeeper, and she grew up around bee farms, learning how to care for bees and producing honey. Her haircare line, Gisou mainly consists of honey and other natural ingredients. I use the honey infused hair oil to help keep the shine to my hair. I use a pea sized drop and run it through damp hair after I shower.

I then use the Propolis Infused Heat Protecting Spray on my damp hair to help detangle it and protect it from the heat of blow drying and my curling iron. I love the smell of this spray, it’s a very natural, clean smell. The key ingredients are propolis, honey, wheat protein. The Gisou products do not contain sulfates, parabens or silicones, and they’re cruelty-free. Fun fact: Propolis is a mixture of beeswax and sap, bees use this as a sealant for unwanted open spaces in the hive.

Makeup: Glossier + Naked Heat

I was introduced to the Urban Decay Naked eye shadow palettes years ago while I was in college and have they’ve been my go to since. Right now, I’m loving the heat palette because of the browns/oranges. I’ve been playing around with my eye shadow more, and this palette gives me those brighter shades I’m looking for.

I started using the Glossier boy brow gel and their Haloscope highlighter last year. These two products are my saving graces on days where I don’t want to wear a full face of makeup. I wear the boy brow gel in brown, and I love that it makes my eye brows look fuller and shapes them a little more, with the gel keeping them in place all day long. The highlighter I wear is in the quartz shade and I love the glow that it leaves on my skin.

Each of these products help me feel put together every day. Self care is so important, and If you invest in good products, I do believe it’s worth it. Your hair and skin will thank you. Let me know if you recommend any other products in the comments below!

I’m such a big fan of my Glossier products also! I started with the highlighter and lipstick, and have since expanded to their serums and blush. I love all of them! Can’t go wrong with the Naked palettes either—always the perfect mix of colors!

Hi Lauren! I haven’t tried Glossier’s blush or serums yet. I’ll have to try them! Thank you for reading! 🙂
