How to Dress Warm + Chic During Winter

Happy March loves! I’m very excited that March is here because we’re that much closer to spring, yet winter hasn’t had the last word. I usually don’t bring out my spring/summer clothes until May because March and April can still be pretty cold in Pittsburgh. I used to dread putting together outfits for winter, I always had trouble finding my style when it came to outer wear that was stylish and kept me warm. That has changed over the past couple of years because I was introduced to the power of layering. I love layering outfits for winter, and it’s something that will never go out of style.

I put together two cozy and chic outfits that you can wear all winter long. These outfits will keep you warm while you’re out and about, while still keeping that stylish look.

look one:

I love how sleek this first outfit is. I paired faux leather leggings with a cream colored turtleneck sweater. The turtleneck sweater is perfect for those colder days because I don’t have to worry about a scarf. I love the cream color because it breaks up the all of the black pieces of the outfit, giving it some contrast. Over top of the sweater, I styled a black pea coat that zips up instead of buttons. I love how long this coat is because it helps keep me warmer than a shorter coat would. The black knee high boots pull the look all together to create a warm, yet chic winter outfit.

look two:

I’m all about neutrals, as you can tell. For me, they’re easy to style and I love to mix and match neutrals. This second look is fun for me because it can go between dressed up and casual. I styled this look with the black faux leather leggings from the first look. I love how leather leggings keep your legs so warm during the winter.

I’m in love with turtlenecks during the winter. I get cold very easily, so this is a way that keeps me warm and cozy, plus they’re fun to style. I wore a black turtleneck sweater with a teddy coat over top. The teddy coat is extremely comfy, warm, and stylish. I hope this trend doesn’t go away anytime soon, because I’m 100% here for it!

I went for a more casual look with this outfit, so I styled it with flat black booties. The booties are comfortable and great for those on the go.

I love these neutral winter looks. They’re perfect for the office, going out with your friends, or even running errands. If you have to be outside for a long period of time, layering and a warm coat is the way to go! We’re almost to spring, but I hope these outfits inspired you to get through the rest of this winter! Comment below which one is your favorite!
